Obviously food is a big part of the picture when you have a consultation with me.   I ask you to fill in a brief food diary so I have an idea of what you eat and when.  Then you can tell me if you are following a certain diet for health, ethical or other reasons.  We take into account where you eat, when you eat, where you shop and who cooks.  The conversation could be about basic cooking skills, recipes, where to buy a certain product or what to eat when you are travelling or in the office. Some people just want me to point them in the right direction.

The Nutritional Therapy ethos:

Clients have individual needs, a one size fits all approach for nutrition and lifestyle does not necessary work.

Suitable for chronic conditions.

Suitable for enhanced health and wellbeing - optimum health & peak performance.

'Nutrition and lifestyle approaches to healthcare have been shown to support the health of all the major systems of the body (skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, excretory, endocrine, immune, reproductive, skin, hair and nails)'.

BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy)

Typical priorities in consultations include support to achieve optimum energy levels, healthy blood sugar balance, emotional and psychological wellbeing, optimum gastrointestinal health and tolerance to a broad range of food groups'.

In a health & hart consultation we'll consider how external and internal stressors may be bringing imbalance to your body and mind. How stress affects you is unique; that may be due to your physiology, your perception of stress or your past experiences.

Some of these stressors you can manage and perhaps some of them you can't. We'll apply problem solving to your unique situation, and then make use of nutrition and other tools to help build your resilience.

It's common knowledge that many health conditions of the body and mind are linked to stress. Stress for you might be a physical thing, feeling tired after long working hours, the aftermath of intense sports training or lack of sleep. You might have a health condition that you want to work with.

You need optimum health to experience peak performance and so we'll work together to create a  practical plan that takes into account what's happening in your life and what your goals are.

I can guide you with a range of resilience tools; from yoga, NLP, coaching, technological solutions, breathing techniques, meditation and mindfulness.

1) We talk about your food! One of my favourite topics - that can be shopping, cooking or eating out.

2) Nutritional Therapy - We work out what needs to happen for you to achieve optimum health & peak performance
